Biosafety Level 2 Lab
BSL-2 Lab: “The School of Applied Sciences at Suresh Gyan Vihar University is proud to house a state-of-the-art Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory, designed to handle moderately hazardous biological agents with the utmost care and adherence to stringent biosafety protocols. Our BSL-2 facility plays a crucial role in the cultivation of cancer cell lines, enabling researchers to investigate their behavior and response to various drugs. By bridging the gap between basic research and clinical applications, our work contributes to the development of more effective cancer treatments. Supported by a generous funding of Rs. 55 lakhs from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) under the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, our research projects focus on innovative drug discovery, therapeutic drug delivery, and gene delivery for various cancer cell lines.
Within the BSL-2 framework, we develop cutting-edge cancer drug delivery systems and methods, ensuring the safety of our lab personnel while driving progress in cancer research. This funding enables us to push the boundaries of cancer research and develop innovative solutions to combat this debilitating disease. We are grateful for the support and recognition from SERB and the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.”
